Latoya MalcolmWith an interest and passion in understanding human behavior, Latoya started her educational career studying and earning her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Purdue University. She went on to achieve her Master's degree in Human Resources Management at Florida International University. In 2018, she successfully completed the SHRM-CP, becoming certified as an HR professional and was recently recertified in 2020.
Latoya has 8 years experience in HR, in a variety of industries. She currently works as the Director of Employee Engagement of a technology company. In her current role, she partners with key leaders in the company to develop and execute its HR objectives. Her outstanding initiatives in the workplace has earned her the prestigious award from South Florida Business and Wealth recognizing her for ‘Excellence in HR’. Latoya’s desire to develop and grow as an HR professional led her to join SMA South Florida as a chair to the VP of Programs in 2019. In 2020, she assisted in creating and organizing chapter events as the VP of Programs. She eagerly accepts new challenges and is looking forward to working with other chapter leaders towards SMA’s continued growth. |
