Tamara BellTamara Bell is a certified Human Resource professional with over 10 years of progressive experience in managing programs, services, and also state and federal employment law. Skilled at employee relations, compensation & benefits, performance management, onboarding, training & development with a strong focus on creating a positive employee/employer experience. Prior to joining Broward College, she was employed in the hospitality and higher education sectors. Most recently Tamara was with Johnson & Wales University managing human resources, payroll functions and the campus student employment program for their Florida regional location. Prior to her tenure at Johnson & Wales University, she was employed in human resources for MSC Cruises USA, one of the world’s largest privately owned cruise companies, employing over 16,500 people worldwide with offices in 45 countries. In this role, she led HR initiatives such as policy creation, 401K, recruiting, etc. she also provided guidance and leadership to the management team to implement and define processes.
Tamara is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University’s Providence, RI Campus with an A.S. in public relations and B.S. in marketing communications. She also holds a master’s degree in public administration from Nova Southeastern University and certifications in human resources management and compensation/benefits from Florida Atlantic University along with her SHRM certification from the Society of Human Resources. Tamara is a member of the Florida Chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resource (CUPA-HR), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and SMA South Florida. She lives in Broward and enjoys spending time with her family, and when at home she can be found taking a walk in the local neighborhood, volunteering with her church or local charity, reading or cooking one of her favorite recipes. |
